We are a loving community of friends who are as close as a family. We come together in fellowship to worship, to share and to find strength for daily living. We seek to give to God and to those in need in our community and in the world.
We are fed by faith. We offer you a warm welcome. Come join us!
On Sunday, June 17th, we will be having a lunch/brunch after the 10:00 a.m. service in honor of Father’s Day. At the lunch we will have our raffle drawing for the $1,000 gift certificate to Jerry’s Home Improvement. Raffle tickets are still available and can be purchased from Vestry members, Donna, or me, up to the moment of the drawing. Come join the fun!
Michael Bruce Curry is the 27th and current presiding bishop and primate of The Episcopal Church which is part of the Anglican communion along with the Church of England. Elected in 2015, he is the first African American to serve in that capacity.
His recent address at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle lifted us up when he called out, “When love is the way,” he said, “then no child would go to bed hungry in this world ever again.” He quoted the Book of Amos: With love, “we will let justice roll down like a mighty stream, and righteousness like an ever-flowing brook.”
With love, he said, “poverty will become history” and “the earth will become a sanctuary.” At the end, he concluded, “may God hold us all in those almighty hands of love.”
